Job Description
The Department of Environmental Services (DES) is seeking a results-driven, experienced, and innovative Transportation & Development Deputy Director to lead the Division and manage a $57 million operating budget and $1.4 billion ten-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The Deputy Director is a key member of the DES executive team and reports to the Chief Deputy Director. This role involves overseeing transportation operations, service delivery, development initiatives, and community engagement.
Requirements
- Manages relationships with DES, other County departments, state regulatory and funding agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Supports key initiatives like VDOT Crystal City, CC2DCA, and Metro-related projects.
