We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Operations Engineer to join our team on an 18 month fixed-term contract. The role involves supporting infrastructure integration activities, including system migrations, onboarding new platforms, and delivering IT solutions for external client use.
Requirements
- Support integration / migration of Windows Server VMs, and Azure infrastructure (network, compute, storage, identity, monitoring).
- Build and maintain integration runbooks, configuration documents, and environment diagrams.
- Prepare Azure landing zones, network segments, firewall rules, DNS entries and IAM mappings for new or migrated services, for Production, Development / NPE environments.
- Configure monitoring agents, logging, backup policies, performance baselines and vulnerability scanning for integrated systems.
- Provide technical troubleshooting during integration events and post-migration stabilisation.
- Monitor performance, capacity and resilience of integrated platforms.
- Collaborate closely with software teams, service management, and third parties to resolve issues.
- Automate deployment and configuration tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
- Support Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform/ARM/Bicep preferred).
- Onboard new systems into central tooling such as SIEM, APM, monitoring, CMDB, patching and backup platforms.
- Deliver well-planned integration changes with clear test plans and back-out procedures.
- Participate in CAB and contribute to operational readiness assessments.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks and asset information.
