The Lead Head Start Teacher provides a safe and supervised educational setting for pre-school aged children, fostering development and integrating with families. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education
- Two years' experience teaching Head Start, Pre-school, or Kindergarten-age children
- Developmentally Appropriate Practices for Infant/Toddlers or Preschool Course (10-hours)
- 40 clock hours from the Florida Department of Children and Families
- Introductory Child Care Training (30-hours)
- Child Growth and Development (6-hours)
- Behavioral Observation & Screening (6-hours)
- Health, Safety & Nutrition (8-hours)
- Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (4-hours)
