Machinist II, Microcool

Wieland is seeking a Machinist II, Microcool for their Pine Hall, NC location. The role involves completing layouts, performing machining operations, and maintaining machinery. Successful candidates will be expected to follow safety procedures, problem-solve, and contribute to a company with a strong focus on safety, ambition, and innovation.

Requirements

• Follows safe working procedures.
• Manages the activities of his/her assigned projects.
• Plans and estimates machine shop activities.
• Performs mechanical alignment using precision tools.
• Performs benchwork.
• Performs tool grinding operations.
• Maintains required records and documentation.
• CNC programming and modifying programs.
• Plans stock inventory and requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, material specifications, orthographic drawings, and reference planes.
• Ability to judge and hold tight specifications.
• Ability to work from sample parts.
• Commitment to high quality standards.
• Machinist certification and/or Associate’s Degree.
• Minimum 3 years’ machinist experience.
