Job Description
Garrett is seeking an international intern to conduct studies in various areas related to electric drives for compressors, including SiC/GaN design, VFD output filter modeling, thermal simulations, and trade-offs in power electronics and control systems. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and innovative environment with a focus on automotive product development.
Requirements
- Study of SiC/GaN in electric drive designs
- Model variable frequency drives considering motor and cable parameters
- Thermal simulation of electric drives
- Trade off study of VFD harmonic mitigation filters
- Power supply and pre-charging circuit design
- Student in last year (of Masters) of electrical or mechatronic engineering
- Hands of experience in building electric drives, control system or thermal modelling
- Experience with Office Suite
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Duration: minimum 6 months
