Global Communities is seeking a Procurement Specialist for an anticipated project that will support groups of producers who practice subsistence agriculture to achieve increases in production, productivity, and insert them into the formal market. The Specialist will coordinate and conduct procurement processes, ensure compliance with applicable rules and procedures, and establish communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
- University degree in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, international trade, or other discipline related to the functions and responsibilities of the position
- At least five (5) years of work experience facilitating, supporting, conducting or coordinating procurement or contracting processes
- Proven experience in executing procurement processes including preparation of procurement documents, facilitating evaluation processes and preparation of bid/quote evaluation reports
- Verifiable experience in the application of World Bank procurement regulations
- Verifiable experience in the application of public sector procurement regulations
- Proven experience in contract administration and follow-up
- Verifiable experience in the area of procurement with agricultural or rural development projects
