Especialista en Agronegocios (Programa Anticipado de Agricultura Climáticamente Inteligente y Agro-logística)

We are seeking an Agribusiness Specialist for an anticipated project in Honduras. The project will support groups of producers who practice subsistence agriculture to achieve increases in production, productivity, and insertion into the formal market. The specialist will promote agricultural diversification, focus technical assistance and field training on the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices, and introduce changes in production systems to leverage technological innovation and achieve increased land and labor productivity, adaptation, and climate change mitigation.

Requirements

• University degree in agribusiness, international trade, agricultural sciences, economics, agricultural economics, management, or other discipline related to the functions and responsibilities of the position
• At least five (5) years of work experience in promoting agricultural or rural development or agribusiness promotion with producers in rural or protected areas
• Verifiable experience in providing or facilitating agricultural extension services with producers in rural, indigenous and afro-descendant communities
