Habitat Charlotte Region is a nonprofit that builds and repairs affordable homes for low‑income families in the Charlotte area. Since 1983, the organization has helped more than 4,000 families achieve homeownership through low‑interest mortgages, financial literacy training, and volunteer‑based construction. Distinctive initiatives include the Women Build program, which empowers women to lead home‑building projects, and a network of six ReStores that fund the mission by reselling donated building materials. Rooted in partnership with seven founding churches, Habitat Charlotte Region combines community collaboration, faith‑driven service, and a focus on sustainability to create lasting hope for families.
