Assistant Director

Harlem Children’s Zone is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director to oversee a standalone high school site serving students in grades 9-12 from over 100 schools citywide. This role focuses on academic success, social-emotional development, and leadership for Harlem teens through intentional case management, academic support, and community engagement. The assistant director will lead a team, cultivate relationships, and ensure a safe and structured learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of supervisory or program management experience in youth development, education, or social services.
• Strong understanding of Academic Case Management (ACM) and strategies for supporting scholars attending multiple schools.
• Excellent communication, organization, and data management skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, occasional weekends, and be on-call for emergencies.
