Middle School, School Guidance Counselor

Harlem Children's Zone Promise Academy is seeking a School Guidance Counselor to partner with K-12 students, support staff, and families in a community with a high level of educational needs. This role involves conducting evaluations, providing crisis intervention, helping students understand their goals, and collaborating with school stakeholders to ensure student success.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in school counseling or related field
• 3+ years experience as a School Guidance Counselor
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Understanding of student maturity levels
• Knowledge of test construction and educational test data
• Ability to work with parents, students, faculty, and community groups
