Job Description
This Senior System Engineer role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and optimizing both on-prem and cloud environments (AWS/Azure). The position requires strong systems engineering skills while leveraging cloud technologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and scalability. The role involves troubleshooting, patching, system builds, and implementing secure, highly available cloud solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud engineering.
- 5+ years of experience managing VMware/vCenter infrastructure.
- Experience designing and maintaining backup, disaster recovery, and high availability systems.
- Strong experience with Windows/Linux server administration including patching, hardening, and tuning.
- Strong experience with Active Directory Administration.
- Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong understanding of implementing access to systems using principles of least privilege.
- Proven ability to lead highly technical projects and mentor junior staff.
