The Licensed Electrical Maintenance Technician ensures production equipment is maintained and running with minimal downtime due to electrical issues. The role involves performing electrical skills to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, as well as installing and removing electric drive components. The employee will work in an industrial environment, adhering to safety protocols and working independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals, work orders, electrical schematics/diagrams to perform required maintenance and service.
- Performs electrical skills to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems for plant equipment.
- Installs and/or removes electric drive components as needed.
- Runs pipe and wire to new and existing systems as needed.
- Provides scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs of plant equipment/systems issues.
- Communicates with others internal and external to the organization to obtain/provide information regarding electrical issues as needed.
- Records pertinent labor information from work shift.
- Assists mechanical staff as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
