The Part-Time Radiation Safety Officer will serve as the University Radiation Safety Officer, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the University Radiation Safety Program, ensuring compliance with regulations, and ensuring the safety of users of radioactive materials and radiation devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in health physics, medical physics, nuclear engineering, public health, environmental health or other relevant science related field
- Five (5) years of progressive work experience
- Current and valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record
- 40 hours of training and experience in the safe handling of radioactive materials
- Ability to hold requisite NRC licenses on behalf of the University
- Working knowledge of NRC, DOT, OSHA, EPA and other safety regulations
