Job Description
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the agency’s enterprise network infrastructure. This role focuses on the stability, performance, and security of LAN, WAN, wireless, VoIP, and data center networks, emphasizing Cisco and Palo Alto technologies. The engineer leads troubleshooting, contributes to architecture, and mentors junior administrators.
Requirements
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies and VPNs.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex routing and switching issues.
- Support network services for VoIP, data center connectivity, and SDN.
- Develop and document network baselines and operational runbooks.
- Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and network optimization.
- Research and evaluate emerging networking technologies.
