Network Administrator

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Administrator to provide technical support for strategic network and information services at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a network administration or engineering role
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Security+ certified
• CCNA certification a plus
• Hands-on experience in design/configuration/installation of Cisco/Juniper routers and switches
• Working knowledge of DHCP, NMS – SolarWinds Orion NPM/NCM, Cisco ISE, Wireshark etc.
• Strong working knowledge and excellent troubleshooting skills of Layer 3 and Layer 2 protocols in a VoIP environment
• Working knowledge of IP address Management/DHCP/Syslog/DNS
• Knowledge of Windows 2012/2016 and IIS is a plus
• Familiarity with cabling (Fiber/CAT5E/CAT6)
• Knowledge of UPS
• Proficient with network hardware and related software
• Able to create and maintain operational procedures, topology maps using Visio
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to work with short timelines using latest networking technologies and provide excellent customer support for all network related services
• Must be able to work outside normal business hours for planned projects or to respond to emergencies
• Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance
