Team Lead, API Integration Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in API and Webhook development, integration, or platform engineering roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Advanced understanding of RESTful APIs, Webhook architectures, authentication protocols, and error handling best practices.
• Strong experience using API testing and automation tools (Postman, Newman, or similar frameworks).
• Demonstrated success in managing customer-facing API and Webhook integrations with global clients or enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with modern integration and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, and API management tools (Gravitee, Kong, Apigee, or AWS API Gateway).
• Chargebee or similar SaaS billing integration experience preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate engineers across multiple geographies.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
