Job Description
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team seeks a Certified Peer Specialist to provide person-centered, recovery-oriented care to individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. This role involves living experience, coaching, and collaboration with participants and team members to support their personal goals. The position offers a mobile, multidisciplinary team focused on promoting hope, empowerment, and choice.
Requirements
- NYS Certified Peer Specialist (or Provisional)
- Lived experience with mental health recovery
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Valid NYS driver’s license
- Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Yiddish) a plus
