Job Description
Access: Supports for Living Inc. is seeking an Intern to support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their families. The position focuses on behavioral interventions, psycho-education, and providing individual support to individuals in Hudson Valley programs. The role involves conducting behavioral assessments, leading support groups, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Interns must be enrolled in a degree program aligned with the internship requirements.
Requirements
- Current graduate level student in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
- Must be capable of doing SCIP-R physical interventions (once trained)
- Capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for moderate-periods of time
- Able to work in open space floor plan
- Capable to move throughout work day and follow individuals
- Work alongside individuals within 3 feet
- Occasional lifting of > 15+ pounds
