Respite is seeking a part-time Respite Worker to provide supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting. The role involves performing person-centered supports and services, prioritizing personal choice and fostering positive relationships. Key responsibilities include providing care in the home, lifting and one-to-one functions, monitoring safety, and communicating with relevant parties.

Requirements

• Provide services to persons served in their home and community.
• Perform lifting and other one-to-one functions for the individuals we serve.
• Monitor the safety and welfare of people served, take corrective actions as necessary.
• Communicate health care concerns to supervisor or administrator.
• Communicate professionally with persons receiving services, families, team members and the community.
• Encourage community integration with an emphasis on inclusion, access, community awareness and safety.
