Job Description
ACHIEVEability is seeking a dynamic and energetic Development Director to design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to advance the organization's mission to eliminate poverty and foster thriving communities in West Philadelphia.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; CFRE or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising and development and 3+ years in a nonprofit organization
- Familiarity with the Greater Philadelphia philanthropic community
- Commitment to racial and economic equity and the mission of ACHIEVEability.
- Demonstrated success managing donor pipelines and achieving fundraising goals.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills.
- Culturally competent professional with ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in a development function (managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources)
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority
- Customer oriented and strong interpersonal skills
