Job Description
The ACLU is seeking a Summer Legal Intern to join their General Legal, Litigation Department in New York City or San Francisco, CA. This is a remote or hybrid position for law students, supporting litigation projects ranging from voting rights to immigration law. The intern will have exposure to the ACLU’s advocacy strategy and potentially contribute to the U.S. Supreme Court docket.
Requirements
- Completion of 1L year of law school by summer 2026
- Excellent research skills (internet and legal database research)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)
- Attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Commitment to civil liberties and racial justice
- Demonstrated ability to conduct complex legal analysis
