Job Description
The ACLU is seeking a Summer 2026 Legal Intern to assist the Trone Center for Justice and Equality in its work on issues related to crime, punishment, and racial justice. The intern will participate in legal research, writing, and other Center priorities. Internship opportunities are offered with a limited number of locations, including New York City and Washington D.C.
Requirements
- Law student currently enrolled in a J.D. program from an ABA-accredited law school
- Completed at least one year of law school before the internship commences
- Demonstrated commitment to the issues on which the ACLU works
- Outstanding legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills (web-based research proficiency)
