Job Description
The Certified Nurse Midwife provides patient-centered care to women throughout their lives, with a focus on pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive health. The CNM conducts assessments, develops care plans, performs clinical procedures, and addresses community health challenges through education and coordination with local resources.
Requirements
- Conduct initial and ongoing obstetric assessments
- Order and interpret prenatal labs, ultrasounds, and diagnostic tests
- Manage labor and delivery for low-risk patients
- Provide counseling on and initiate contraception
- Coordinate transition to ongoing primary care
