Interventional Radiology Technologist

The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

Requirements

• Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.
• Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results.
• Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Maintains, clean and report any issues with equipment.
• Administers appropriate high quality, patient-focused health care.
• Operates imaging equipment and other ancillary equipment properly and safely.
• Participates in department quality improvement activities, staff educational programs, attends departmental meetings, and demonstrates and maintains clinical competency in the delivery of patient care services in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Performs other position related duties as assigned.
