Job Description
Advocates is seeking enthusiastic and motivated team players to provide valuable care to individuals in a residential setting. The Direct Support Staff role is an entry-level position where you will support residents with developmental disabilities, assist with activities of daily living, and provide role modeling in a residential setting. The role focuses on fostering a welcoming and safe environment while collaborating with parents and guardians to support individual goals and integration into the community. You will also participate in community events and provide support within the home.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Excellent interpersonal, judgement and coaching skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to utilize basic computer applications
- Valid driver's license
- Vehicle and insurance
