Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to take ownership of quoting, job planning, and CNC programming in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume machining environment. The role involves developing part routings, quoting new jobs, and programming complex CNC lathe operations.
Requirements
- Develop complete part routings from BOM interpretation through finishing operations
- Quote new jobs based on customer RFQs, including estimating cycle times and selecting tooling
- Program complex CNC lathe operations using Mastercam and Mazak conversational (Mazatrol) programming
- Plan and structure jobs involving turning, milling, live tooling, and secondary processes
- Support machinists on the floor with troubleshooting and program modifications (10–15% of time on shop floor)
- Collaborate with the second Manufacturing Engineer to manage workflow and meet production timelines
