We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer
with project experience in the automotive field to join our growing Industrial Automation Team.
The Industrial Automation projects in this role require regular travel to our customers and to BÄR Automation GmbH in Gemmingen, near Heilbronn. (Agile Robots SE has been a majority shareholder of BÄR Automation GmbH since 2023.) Alternatively, we are also open to candidates who are primarily located in Gemmingen or Stuttgart and are willing to travel regularly to our customers and to the headquarters in Munich.
Your tasks:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement electrical systems specifically for industrial automation projects.
- Evaluate components, select suitable components, and create a BOM list for electrical components.
- Work closely with SPS programmers and automation specialists to ensure that electrical designs meet automation requirements.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other automation components into electrical systems.
- Ensure that electrical constructions meet safety standards.
- Support with the commissioning and testing of electrical systems during installation and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions.
Your profile:
- Several years of experience in the automation, automotive, or machine building industry, ideally for robotics and AMRs in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
- Proven knowledge of industrial automation technology, including SPS, SCADA, and fieldbus communication protocols.
- Familiarity with electrical standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Familiarity with the development of CE-certified control and automation systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Travel readiness of 60%.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
- You are characterized by an independent, thorough, and team-oriented work attitude.
- You bring a hands-on mentality and self-initiative.
