Job Description
Agnico Eagle is seeking a Truck & Coach Technician to maintain heavy-duty trucks and coaches in a reliable and safe operating condition at the Detour Lake Mine in Ontario. The ideal candidate has a minimum High School Diploma, Ontario Provincial/Inter-Provincial (Red Seal) Truck and Coach Technician (310T) Certificate, and at least 5 years' experience working on heavy-duty trucks and coaches.
Requirements
- Maintain all heavy-duty trucks and coach equipment in a reliable and safe operating condition
- Conduct equipment testing, reporting deficiencies, timely inspections, preventative maintenance service and quality repair of equipment in accordance with work plans and maintenance schedules
- Liaise with maintenance planning group to maintain inventory of parts leading to optimal equipment availability
- Develop a strong working relationship with the operations group
- Prepare electronic service reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work area
- Analyze maintenance procedures and make recommendations to improve effectiveness
- Ensure that safety issues are reported to the supervisor and promptly remedied
- Promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System
