Staff Node.js Backend

AHOY is seeking a Staff Node.js Backend Developer to lead the design and development of backend solutions for their applications. The role involves influencing the technology stack, collaborating with product managers and frontend developers, and mentoring junior engineers. The company is remote and operates in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a backend developer with a focus on Node.js.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven programming.
• Familiarity with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in a remote work environment.
