Job Description
The welder is responsible for operating equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with precision, and repairing products that do not meet customer needs.
Requirements
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade
- Operate and/or use forklift, cranes, hoists, slings, grinders, cutting touches, hand tools, drills, punches, and instruments of measurement
- Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals
