Summary

We are looking for a passionate technology expert who can take our backend systems to the next level. You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend systems, as well as lead a team of backend developers. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to analyze and implement new software solutions. Your expertise in new technologies and industry trends will help us improve our technology landscape. You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback and suggestions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend systems with a modular architecture
• Lead a team of backend developers and provide technical guidance and support
• Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to analyze and implement new software solutions
• Ensure that systems are developed with performance, scalability, and security in mind
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends and share your knowledge with the team
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback and suggestions

Requirements

• Practical experience in designing and implementing modular systems, REST APIs, or event-driven interfaces
• Excellent knowledge of Java programming, with practical experience with Apache Kafka and Oracle/Postgres databases
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience with agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
• Experience in leading a team of developers and delivering complex systems
