Job Description
Akuna Capital is seeking a Network Engineer I to join their IT Infrastructure team. The role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining a network infrastructure, working with vendors, and automating operations. The ideal candidate is motivated, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of network engineering experience in a professional environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI stack
- Understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Some experience working with either Juniper, Arista or Cisco
- Understanding of switching, firewalls, STP, VLANs, VPNs, Trunks, ACLs, multicast routing (IGMP, PIM)
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix
- Desire to obtain a CCNA or CCNP
