Legal Counsel - Hybrid

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is seeking a diverse individual with strong legal skills to join the legal team. The role involves providing legal advice to AER personnel and participating in AER hearings and ADR processes.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Law Society of Alberta
• Four to Fifteen plus (4 -15+) years of experience providing legal services in at least two of the following areas: administrative/regulatory law, litigation, bankruptcy & insolvency, water law, energy/environmental law and aboriginal law
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills in combined with superior writing skills
• Superior legal research skills
• Strong attention to detail with high importance placed on accuracy and high calibre work products
• A strong critical thinker, with an agile, collaborative and team focused approach
