Effective Practices Specialist (Technology Portfolio)

The Government of Alberta is seeking an Effective Practices Specialist to lead programs that leverage technology to continuously improve Alberta's Employment Standards Program and related services.

Requirements

• University graduation in a related field (such as commerce, science, information technology, quality control, or quality assurance) with coursework in research methodology and statistics
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience; or equivalent as described below
• Project Management certification or experience is considered an asset
• Time management skills to effectively manage numerous project initiatives
• Proficiency in the use of applications and software such as Microsoft Power Platform (including PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and PowerBI), Sharepoint Online, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and SQL Reporting Services
• Experience in creating M365 applications and developing low code automations
• Understanding how to access and manipulate statistical databases, SQL experience is desirable
