Legal Officer

We are looking for a Legal Officer to provide legal advice and guidance to inform Tribunal operations and decisions. The role will develop and lead training for members and staff to enhance the quality and integrity of all Tribunal services and operations.

Requirements

• A qualified legal practitioner with a minimum of four years' experience across multiple practice areas, including Civil and Administrative law
• Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
• Knowledge of the related legislation, regulations, and both regulatory and non-regulatory frameworks, and policies that relate to the Tribunal's mandate
• Experience with agencies, boards, or commissions (municipal, provincial, federal) is an asset
• Knowledge of the stakeholder community, and the current and emerging issues that could come before the Tribunal is an asset
