Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Authorization Specialist to support billing operations across multiple locations. The role involves managing and processing authorization requests for surgical procedures, DME, Gel and Xiaflex injections, and STAT MRI procedures.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, specifically handling surgical, DME, or MRI authorization processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of insurance authorization processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to track and follow up on multiple authorization requests
- Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance coding
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
