Senior Software Engineer for OpenHands, a open-source AI platform that empowers engineering teams to accelerate development, automate workflows, and integrate intelligent coding assistance into real-world software delivery.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep backend experience with Python, PostgreSQL, and distributed systems
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern frontend development
- Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP or AWS)
- Track record of shipping production-grade systems for SaaS products
- Ability to operate independently, make sound architectural decisions, and deliver in fast-moving environments
- Product-first mindset with a focus on delivering business and user value
- Interest in AI/LLM-powered developer tools and open-source software (bonus if you’ve contributed to OSS)
- Experience mentoring teammates or leading technical projects
