As an Automotive Body Shop Technician, you will be repairing automotive, truck, and RV bodies by planning repairs, replacing, and refinishing parts, maintaining tools and equipment, and maintaining records.
Requirements
- Plan repairs by evaluating damage and estimates; coordinating repairs with other required services; gathering parts, supplies, equipment, and tools.
- Perform all body and fender repairs utilizing welding, body alignment and structural operations.
- Maintain quality service by following repair standards; conducting test drive and final inspection; correcting deficiencies; obtaining approval from customer.
- Document all actions in repair order notes.
- Maintain tools and equipment by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to work standards and practices.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
