Job Description
Allata is seeking a Databricks Architect to lead client-facing data platform implementations. This role involves architectural responsibilities, data governance, security, scalability, cost management, and operational model design. The Architect will own the full lifecycle of data products, standardize patterns, and mentor teams, partnering with clients and infrastructure teams to deliver measurable results and build lasting partnerships.
Requirements
- Define the overall data platform architecture (Lakehouse/EDW)
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Establish data governance, metadata, cataloging
- Define security and compliance controls
- Architect scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Lead selection and integration of platform components
- Design and enforce CI/CD patterns
- Define ingestion patterns
- Implement DevOps practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues
- Hard skills - Must have: previous experience as architect or lead technical role on enterprise data platforms, hands-on experience with Databricks technologies, and strong expertise in Spark.
- Must have: proficiency in CI/CD for data pipelines and packaging/deployment of artifacts.
