The Process Engineer will develop and improve manufacturing processes in a light assembly and fabrication environment, including tool design and process troubleshooting. The engineer will drive productivity improvements to reduce labor & overhead costs.
Requirements
- Manage capital equipment investments from business case through production launch.
- Implement process improvement projects to achieve plant productivity targets.
- Design and procure tools, jigs and fixtures.
- Support existing work cells experiencing equipment or process issues.
- Initiate stocking of expendable tooling and critical spares in the MRO crib.
- Submit Engineering Changes to make updates to Bills of Materials.
- Update Cycle Times & Product Routings in the ERP system.
- Submit product routing updates as required for configurator updates.
- Work with cross functional teams including Product Management, Sustaining Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operational Excellence and Operations as required.
- Utilize tools like PFMEA, SWOT Analysis, PICK Charts, DMAIC etc. for problem solving.
