Job Description
The PRN Radiology Technologist assists physicians and nurses with basic patient care, performing x-rays and CT scans. This role involves providing supportive care, performing diagnostic testing, and maintaining quality control procedures. The role requires adherence to privacy and security policies and reporting potential security breaches.
Requirements
- Provides supportive care to patients under the direction of the registered nurse and/or physician.
- Performs patient skill sets such as taking height and weight measurements, vital signs, IV initiation, and blood draws.
- Produces a quality image and uploads images for radiology reads.
- Reports lab and radiology results immediately.
- Assists with assessments, examinations, and treatment.
- Performs other duties such as crutch walking, dressing changes and assisting physician with splint or cast application.
