Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to play a key role in our finance department. Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for overseeing the general ledger, acting as the liaison with our outsourced accounting team and CPA firm, coordinating the financial statement review, and coordinating the preparation of tax returns.

Requirements

• Act as the liaison for our outsourced accounting team, facilitating effective communication and coordination of financial activities.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate closely with the CPA firm in coordinating the financial statement review and preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other compliance documents.
• Assist the Controller in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Controller's attention.
• Assist with the loading of payments and playing a lead role in the accounts payable process.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Provide input into the department’s goal setting process.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors and participate in audits.
• Keep abreast of latest developments in accounting regulations and best practices.
• Assist Controller with any other functions needed within the accounting department.
