Job Description
Alpaca is seeking a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Europe. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and services powering millions of users trading assets globally. The engineer will be responsible for regional recruitment, team leadership, operational reliability, incident handling, and contributing to a vibrant community. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse, globally distributed team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and developing complex financial systems, preferably including double-entry accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, ledger structures, and transaction reconciliation.
- Experience building scalable, high-availability financial applications that handle multi-currency transactions.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in financial markets.
- Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages.
