Intraday Power Trading Lead

We are looking for an experienced Intraday Power Trading Lead to strengthen our trading team with a focus on the Italian power market. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of the Italian electricity market with strong analytical skills, risk awareness, and a proven track record of delivering trading results.

Requirements

• Trading on short term Italian power market (DA, ID auctions, ID continuous, imbalance market) optimizing our Italian third-party as well as own RES assets and sales portfolio in order to extract value for Alpiq.
• Monitor and analyze market fundamentals and price signals. Develop and refine short term trading strategies to improve profitability.
• Manage risk exposure relevant to assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (algo traders, pricing analysts, meteorologists) and coordinate with peer originators of the value chain.
• Assist in further improvement and automation of existing tools and trading processes.
