Quality Inspector

At Alstom, we're looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in Newark, NJ, US. As a Quality Inspector, you'll ensure industrial quality standards are met throughout production and field operations, driving safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Experience or understanding of Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes in industrial manufacturing or field operations.
• Knowledge of root-cause analysis methodologies (e.g., QRQC, 5 Whys) and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Quality Control Plans and Work Instructions.
• Strong communication skills—able to present audit findings, corrective actions, and recommendations clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety rules.
• Integrity, initiative, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with operations, maintenance, management, and contractors.
• Analytical skills to track and report quality metrics such as Defects Per Unit (DPU) and Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ).
