Job Description
The Engineer I will perform engineering design review and analysis, applying conventional engineering knowledge to complex projects. This role involves drafting technical reports, client communication, and proposing technical advice. It's a supervised position aimed at developing a thorough understanding of policies and procedures. The position is part of an ABS Quality System training program.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or other related disciplines.
- Six (6) years or fewer Hull backgrounds or experience (degree or M.S. preferred).
- Demonstrated computer literacy in engineering software.
- Knowledge of related technical disciplines.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to problems.
- Good command of the English language.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
