Job Description
ABS is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to join their Intelligent Systems Technology Center (ISTC) in Seoul, Korea. This role involves leading research and development projects focused on smart, autonomous ship systems, AI in the marine environment, and future ship concepts. The engineer will contribute to technological guidance, client collaboration, and technical expertise to support the safe integration of advanced technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
- 2+ years of relevant experience in shipyards, design/consulting offices, shipping or oil companies, offshore energy companies, or universities
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with marine intelligent systems, including collision detection and avoidance, autonomous operations, and smart functions
- Familiarity with AI and its applications in the marine and offshore industries
- Solid understanding of the marine and offshore industry, including experience working with or within classification societies
