Job Description
ABS is seeking Senior Surveyors to examine and report on vessels during and after construction, ensuring compliance with classification standards and Safety of Life at Sea. The role involves reviewing incident reports, verifying outlier vessels, and providing leadership on survey activities. ABS provides innovation in marine safety and environmental services, with a commitment to improving the industry.
Requirements
- Examine and report on vessels during and after construction to comply with classification requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Safety of Life at Sea, Loadline, Tonnage, Cargo Gear, and Pollution Prevention Certification.
- Act as a professional specialist for vessel incidents, outlier vessels, and targeted surveys.
- Maintain digital Corporate Class survey files.
- Organize and coordinate quarterly vessel incident meetings.
- Maintain active awareness of new methods and developments.
