Alliance for the Public's Health Internship: 2026 summer term (June 1 - Aug. 15)

The Alliance for the Public's Health Internship is a 2-3 month unpaid internship that offers opportunities for students to work with a collaborative of public health and healthcare organizations. The intern will assist with general Alliance activities, including communications and programmatic components, and have the opportunity to work on grant funded projects and the APHA's Get Ready campaign.

Requirements

• Assisting with developing Alliance materials
• Learning about and researching emerging public health topics
• Capturing lessons from meetings
• Coordinating meetings
• Logistics for the 2025 Policy Action Institute
• Developing newsletters or other communications materials
• Maintenance of the resource library navigator PHERN and map
• Conducting research to identify items to include in our library of public health, equity and preparedness or COVID-19 resources
• Helping to determine how best to display information and resources
• Providing information about areas of interest to Alliance members, stakeholders and the broader field
• Contributing to grant funded project activities including, but not limited to, policy scans, webinars, best practices guides, and focus groups
