Maintains, installs, and repairs water/wastewater treatment plant equipment. Operates the treatment plant in a way that meets all state and federal regulatory requirements. Performs sampling, testing, and laboratory analysis to monitor process and determine compliance with Federal, State, and American Water’s standards.
Requirements
- Troubleshoots, installs, operates, maintains, inspects, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance duties on the equipment at the wastewater purification plants.
- Calibrates and adjusts chemical feed and process equipment including instrumentation and control systems.
- Performs maintenance and custodial duties at the wastewater purification plants.
- Specifies and initiates orders for parts and supplies.
- Assumes duties of Plant Operator in the Operator's absence.
- Performs delivery, loading, unloading, and placing of water/wastewater treatment chemicals into storage, including chemical receiving and inventory.
- Maintains grounds, buildings, roadways, screens, reservoirs, and right-of-ways.
- Responsible for daily well run and all associated processes on weekends or whenever assigned.
- Responsible for maintaining and trouble shooting of sewage collection system and water distribution system.
